Photography has always been a major interest of mine, and I find that our blog and Instagram are a perfect outlet for that. Many of our photos are spontaneous, while others are planned a year in advance. I always try to make sure to make each photo session is a fun experience for Bain, and the results are a dog who allows me to dress him up in basically anything. He now has his own tickle trunk, and I’m pretty certain his wardrobe now rivals mine. While we continue to conquer our photography goals, there’s one area in particular we have not yet mastered in – the selfie. Yes, you read correctly. I can get all of the poses and expressions I want out of Bain, but when it comes to taking photos of him and myself something just goes haywire. I prefer being behind the scenes, but every once in a while it would be nice to get a quality photo of both Bain and I together. So, how do you get a good selfie and keep your dog’s attention at the same time?
Introducing – The Pooch Selfie
The Pooch Selfie is a pet-friendly attachment for your smartphone that is designed to easily help capture your dog’s attention when snapping photos. How does it work? With just 3 simple steps you can capture the best photo of you and your pooch!
Step 1 – Clip
Clip the Pooch Selfie attachment onto your smartphone or tablet. Then slide the tennis ball into the attachment. Guess what? The tennis ball squeaks to help gain your pup’s attention! I loved the sound of the squeaker so much I had to get a video to show you what I mean.
Step 2 – Squeeze
As mentioned above, the tennis ball squeaks. Squeak before you take the photo. Give it a go!
Step 3 – Snap
You should now have your pup’s attention! Snap that photo! Use the front or rear camera to snap away. The Pooch Selfie is also a good way to get your pup’s attention even for just a photo of him! Just squeak and snap!
What I love about the Pooch Selfie is that not only is it compatible with my smartphone, but also my iPad. I can get Bain’s attention in most ways I want for our photo shoots, but when it comes to a photo of us the Pooch Selfie makes our photo sessions a much more pleasant experience. Our only shortcoming, however, is that my arms are too short on certain angles. So, I had to get a little more creative in our photo shoot.
Need an idea for a pet lover’s birthday? Christmas present? Or just because? This is the perfect gift for those whose phone memory, such as myself, is taken up by pet photos. Customers and gift givers have plenty of options to choose from too!
