Bain is still finishing his champagne from new years, so I figured I would get started on our resolution list. For myself personally, every other year has had way too many goals, goals that would never be accomplished. You become discouraged, and back to old habits. I was wanting to keep this years goals straight to the point, so our list is of 5 major resolutions / to do’s this year. Noses to the grindstone!
Now that I’ve jogged with Bain this year, I’m a lot more confident with how he runs with me (not dragging me to the next city!). He’ll run at my pace now, rather than bound ahead. I never pictured myself biking with him, but there is a nice biking trail near here so I won’t have to worry about traffic and other dangers.
I really hate jogging, so this will be great for both of us. This will be a great way to burn Bain’s energy and help myself be a lot more fit and active.
I have been wanting to do this for a little while now, Bain does get along great with other dogs and he’s a dog that would love to have a buddy around. I like this idea, as I would be able to help a pet in need get out of the shelter and Bain would have a little more company of the 4 legged kind.
I’d love to foster a cat, though Kisa is somewhat of a question mark with other cats. Bain is great with her, and sometimes she’ll tolerate him and sniff noses. I’ll be reading more into it should I choose and be allowed to do this in the future. It’s a good thing I don’t own a home at the moment I suppose, as I could see myself having lots of adopted pets around.
There’s a nice trail around here that I’ve been itching to get Bain on with a weight pull harness. Sadly, the woman I was speaking to about a harness has passed away recently. So I am currently in search of a well made harness.
This would be one of the best exercises for Bain, he loves to pull, and has lots of energy to burn.
There’s supposed to be a massive earthquake on the coast at some point, and even since elementary school we’ve been doing drills. A recent 5.0 earthquake has reminded me to make up a list of things needed in a disaster, and let’s not forget about the zombie apocalypse.
We will be posting a list of our items needed for an earthquake emergency. It’s always best to be prepared.
I feel that this is a strong resolution list, not too long and hitting all of the major points that can be accomplished this year. Bain and I looking forward to hitting this year hard.
Have a wonderful new year!
