This year we received an excessive amount of snow for our winter season. With chilly arctic winds and over 80cm of snow, I was surprised by Bain’s “go get ’em” attitude in freezing temperatures and high snow drifts. He dove right in by digging through the yard and making himself his very own snow cones. There was a point where I’m sure I heard Bain singing “Let It Go” from Frozen. For a short haired breed there wasn’t a tinge of him that wanted to come inside, but we still have to be careful during this season. Our most recent battle with the weather resulted in a severe ice storm, and large clumps of ice were taking down tree branches, power lines, and much to a co-worker’s dismay – his car windshield. Bain was very concerned of the falling ice throughout the day, but I was able to set up a custom obstacle course for him to run through. He’s quite motivated by treats and tug-of-war, so the day off resulted in a lot of personal bonding time.
As you may have noticed, Gogo Dogo has been going through some changes. We have a new website design, and we’re getting back to focusing on social media channels that did not receive much attention last year. Most notably, our YouTube channel. We’ve earned over 150,000 views and it continues to keep climbing. So today, I’d like to share our most recent video taken during our last snow storm.
Don’t forget, Valentine’s Day is ahead. As always, we’ll be posting our weekly Instagram photo. Feel free to stop by and say hello and follow Bain and his adventures at @gogo.dogo !
We always like hearing from our readers. Has the weather been generous to you and your pets this year? Or has it taken out some of the record books? How do you spend time with your pets during the winter season?
