There are so many unique pet bloggers out there, and I will keep this intro short and sweet. Below are a list of 10 fantastic pet bloggers I have been keeping up with since I started my blog earlier this year. The bloggers listed below are in no specific order.
1) – Road Dogs & Rescue

There is never a dull moment in the world of rescue, and Nikki shows us her everyday adventures with her sidekick , Huxley, and their crew of rescued pooches.

Her rescue stories are heartwarming, and her dedication for rescue and all things animal are truly amazing. If you are ever feeling down, Road Dogs & Rescue will perk you back up with it’s touching stories, squishy faced bulldogs and sense of humour. Once you leave Nikki’s website, you will be wanting an English gentleman of your own.

Let’s celebrate our pets with Lisa at The Pet Blog Lady.com!
Everytime I hear Glogirly I feel like going out and buying a pair of sassy shoes. Maybe it’s her name, maybe it’s the colours of the website. I feel like strutting down the street with my bright pink heels and just… Glogirly!
A professional member of Cat Writers Association, Debbie has won multiple awards such as Best Cat Blog and Best Pet Blog Design at Blogpaws 2014 for her whimsical and humorous imagery. Along with pet blog community favorites, Katie and Waffles, Debbie has raised over $25,000 in cash, supplies and food for homeless kitties with the help of their hilarious adventures in the blogosphere. If you’re a cat fan, then this is the purrfect place to stop and get your claws into everything cat with products such as the Sleepy Pod and The Cat Ball.
Debbie is also an accomplished graphic designer, she specializes in logo design to complete blog makeovers. I am giddy with excitement as I have recently been working with Debbie to have my own logo’s and header designed. Bain wanted to make sure I got everything just right, and Debbie has done a wonderful job of not only reassuring him, but also by jotting down every point and detail while making sure all areas are covered.
Join Debbie, Katie and Waffles in their adventures!
4) – Walks with Rama
There was a recent post that I saw about women in the pet industry and what inspires them. One of the things that inspires me is strong women with powerful dog breeds. You’ll find that here at Walks With Rama.
When first visiting Walks With Rama.com, I was brought in by Shannon’s journey all stated on her About page. Finding inner strength and peace, the desire and fight to move forward, and the joy and beauty of the simpler things in life all come from walks with registered therapy dog, Rama.
I’m a big fan of Corso’s, and I just love Shannon’s tattoo’s! She is a wonderful ambassador for the breed and is a fellow dog owner who is against BSL. At Walks With Rama, there are stories of happy days and those filled with trials and tribulations that we can all identify with. Follow the journey of Shannon and Rama and their band of Corso as they walk the road less traveled.
Don’t forget to bring your lint brush when visiting It’s Dog Or Nothing, as you might end up with mounds of white fur and happy, slobbery Pyrenees to greet you. Romp around with Mauja and Atka who belong to Kelsie, a pet blogger with pure dedication for rescue, healthy living and Pyrenees.
While currently training her dog Atka to become a Certified Therapy Dog, Kelsie volunteers at her local animal shelter. There is a wonderful story of her journey with Balto, the Great Pyrenees mix, that shows Kelsie’s commitment and dedication for rescue.
While blogging about all things dog, Kelsie has a soft spot for giant breeds. She is one of the first people I started following when I started my blog journey. I love stopping by to see Atka and Mauja in action as well Keslie’s posts on lifestyle with giant breeds, funny moments and training tips.
Join playtime with Kelsie, Mauja and Atka!
6) – Crows Nest Farming
A fellow blogger and close friend whose goal is to live sustainably as she strives for a new, more natural life. She currently owns a Shepherd / Husky mix, Pomeranian / Papillon mix, 5 bunnies, 2 chickens, 7 fish, a pigeon and a massive vegetable and flower garden. Laura is my go-to girl when it comes to gardening, animal care and organic living. She has a soft spot for senior pets, and has a goal to start her own doggy daycare and senior pet rescue when better housing permits.
One day she is making her own homemade cheese, another she is bathing chickens on a hot summer morning. In the meantime, Laura enjoys her days spent with her animals as soon as the sun rises, tending to each and every one. She is waiting for the day when she will be able to have her own homestead and Great Pyrenees guardian to protect it. And maybe, just maybe, one day her pigeon will like her.

8 – Keep the Tail Wagging
This blog post was actually inspired by Kimberly at Keep the Tail Wagging – here. A little after I launched my blog in April I found a post by Kimberly which was titled “Stand Out in the Popular Pet Blogging Niche” that was very inspiring and helped me understand and learn more on how to gain better viewership and stand out in a big crowd.
If you’re interested in learning about feeding your dogs raw and living naturally, stop by and see Kimberly at the Keep the Tail Wagging. I would be interested in testing out a raw food diet with Bain in the future, as he has a very sensitive stomach and possible food allergy. This is a great post by Kimberly that covers Raw Feeding Myths.
Kimberly is a trail blazer in the pet blogging world, planning posts 30-45 days ahead of time, she continues to share engaging posts covering life with littermates, nutrition, pet care, giveaways (yay!) and more. She is very personable and always interacting with her readers. There are a variety of posts of everything pet related, and you might find yourself jotting down a few notes when it comes to feeding. Check out Kimberly’s July shopping list!
Follow Kimberly in her adventure as she continues to put her stamp on the pet blogging world, all while raising her dogs naturally.
9 – Pawsitively Pets
Meet Ann, a former veterinary technician turned professional pet blogger who is dedicated to all things animal. Like Lori at The Litter Sitter / The Inside Poop, Ann has experience with a variety of animals and has a special interest in exotic animals such as ferrets, reptiles, rats and more. If you’re into rats, like myself (they’re so neat!), then this is totally the blog for you. Ann’s exotic pet section can be found here and her Pet Rats Can Learn Amazing Tricks can be found here.
I’ll admit it, if you haven’t noticed yet, I’m a sucker for bully and mastiff breeds. You will notice Ann’s Pit Bull, Shiner, is the resident senior pitty on her website who stops in time to time. You will find the best products for senior pets, such as Revitamal, healthy treats and supplements, dental tips, the list goes on. If you can think of a pet topic, Ann has it covered. Being a mom of two also allows her to get creative, as seen here.
This animal lover took the plunge into the pet blogging world in 2012 and now is a brand ambassador. Ann works with numerous brands to help promote unique and healthy pet products.
Also, I just love Ann’s header picture on her website. Isn’t it the cutest!?
10 – My Rotten Dogs
Time to howl at the moon with Rebekah, a registered nurse, and her 3 rotten dogs, Neeko, Bruce and Faolan. Like Kimberly at Keep the Tail Wagging, Rebekah specializes in feeding raw. Along with her 3 dogs, she maintains a 7 acre hobby farm (my dream!) with her two cats, chickens and guinea fowl.
Rebekah has a lot of pawesome posts on homemade dog treats, healthy supplement ideas, adoptable wolfdogs, informative monthly expenses, pet safe products, I could keep going! There’s lots to do on the farm such as collecting chicken eggs that are added into her homemade dog treats, tending to guinea fowl, tick prevention and building enrichment activity areas for those 3 rotten dogs.
Rebekah is pro-rescue, and has a passion and heart for northern breeds. She helps educate her readers about wolfdogs as well as safe and informative raw feeding practices. Her love for her animals shows through her blog, and she has a lot of fun giveaways for her fans.
So why not take a walk on the wild side with Rebekah and her 3 rotten dogs?
These are only a handful of the wonderful pet bloggers out. Some already have a large fanbase, others are newer and have a rapidly growing viewership. I hope to cover more in the future.
As pet bloggers, we continue to educate others about everything pet related. By sharing ideas and supporting others we can continue to help each other grow.
Let’s raise the woof together.
